9 November 2010 :   The Committee took evidence from Daphne Jackson and Councillor Veronica Davidson and agreed to write to the Scottish Government, Scottish Ambulance Service, Association of Chief Police Officers Scotland, Fire Brigades Union Scotland, Ofcom, Mobile Operators Association, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and Scottish Enterprise seeking responses to points raised in the petition and during the discussion.  

25 January 2011 :   The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the grounds that the Scottish Government has been "actively making and continues to make regular representations to all the UK mobile telecoms operators, with a view to improving mobile phone coverage throughout rural Scotland and the country as a whole".
