5 October 2010 :   The Committee agreed to write to the Scottish Government, Department for Work and Pensions, Shelter Scotland, Scotland's Commissioner for Children and Young People, Barnardo's Scotland, One Parent Families Scotland, COSLA and Scottish Churches Housing Action seeking responses to points raised in the petition and during the discussion.Link to Official Report 26 January 2010"

8 February 2011 :   The Committee agreed to close the petition under Rule 15.7 of Standing Orders on the grounds that the Scottish Government has provided local authorities with a funding package which led to the creation of five regional Housing Options Hubs designed to share examples of good practice and common areas of positive development in homeless prevention. Also, the Housing (Scotland) Act 2010 imposes a duty on local authorities to provide wider support needs to households who have been homeless or threatened with homelessness. <Link to Official Report 8 February 2011
