S1W-267 Jamie McGrigor: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will make a statement on the need for a new coast fisheries boundary line between Scotland and England and on why it should differ significantly from any line describing the limits of other offshore activities.

 

S1W-296 Donald Gorrie: To ask the Presiding Officer whether the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body will set targets for each of the next five years for the percentage of paper, glass, aluminium, other metals and plastic used within the Parliamentary complex to be recycled and what is the best present estimate of the amount of these materials currently used and the percentage of each that will be recycled.

 

S1W-297 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will state how many accidents involving serious injury or fatalities have occurred between Fenwick and Malletsheugh on the A77 for each of the last three years.

 

S1W-298 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has been consulted by Her Majesty’s Government regarding the possible abolition of housing benefit and, if so, what representations it has made on the matter.

 

S1W-299 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide details of the division of responsibilities between the Scottish Administration and Her Majesty’s Government for expenditure and policies relating to the New Deal for Young People.

 

S1W-300 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish details of the expenditure and numbers of young people involved in Scotland to date in respect of the New Deal for Young People.

 

S1W-301 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide a list of all current and planned New Deal initiatives in Scotland other than those covered by the New Deal for Young People.

 

S1W-302 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will state how many young people who have obtained employment through the New Deal Gateway have been taken on by employers who are not receiving the New Deal subsidy, and what percentage does this represent of all those who have been taken on under the employment option.

 

S1W-303 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish details of the number of companies in Scotland which have taken on young people under the employment option of the New Deal for Young People to date and what percentage of trading businesses in Scotland this figure represents.

 

S1W-304 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will state how many young people have taken up the employment option under the New Deal for Young People in Scotland to date, how many of these have completed the six month period of employment, how many have left before completion of the six month period, and how many obtained permanent employment with their host company on completion of the six months.

 

S1W-305 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will take immediate steps to ensure that the additional funding needed for the Methadone Prescription Programme, as agreed in principle by Ayrshire and Arran Health Board, will be made available this year.

 

S1W-306 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish the estimated cost of upgrading the A77 road to dual carriageway status between the Whitletts roundabout in Ayr and the junction between the A77 and A713.

S1W-313 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish details of the number of companies in Scotland which have taken on young people in Scotland for each of the past two years under the Skillseekers programme; and what percentage of trading businesses in Scotland this figure represents.

 

S1W-314 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will seek representation on the Bates Committee, Her Majesty’s Treasury’s Task Force on the future of Public Finance Initiatives and Public-Private Partnerships.

 

S1W-315 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish the list of Private Finance Initiative/Public-Private Partnerships contracts awarded in Scotland which do not include a purchase option for the public sector on completion of the project, and details of when these contracts were signed.

 

S1W-316 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has been consulted on Her Majesty’s Government’s proposed changes to the administration of child support through the Child Support Agency and, if so, what representations it has made.

 

S1W-317 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive what the implications would be for Scottish local authority budgets and any related budgets for which it is responsible if Housing Benefit is abolished.

 

S1W-318 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide details of all grants, loans and contracts awarded by Scottish National Heritage to the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds for each of the last three years.

 

S1W-319 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide the most recent estimate of the capital cost for upgrading the A77 between Fenwick and Malletsheugh to motorway standard.

 

S1W-320 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether there will be a Concordat with Her Majesty’s Government covering housing benefits and other social security matters and, if so, when the draft concordat will be published and submitted to the Parliament.

 

S1W-321 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish details of the expenditure on and number of people covered by all post 16 education and training programmes in Scotland funded by Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the Scottish Higher and Further Education Funding Councils and the European Social Fund for the last financial year.

S1W-325 Kay Ullrich: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to construct a road from the A78 north of Ardrossan to the A78 south of Stevenston, by-passing the towns of Ardrossan, Saltcoats and Stevenston.

 

S1W-326 Kay Ullrich: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to upgrade the A737 road from Howwood in Renfrewshire into North Ayrshire.

 

S1W-327 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to make representations to British Airways with regard to the restoration of a direct air service between Inverness and London Heathrow and whether it intends to ask Her Majesty’s Government and the European Commission to make similar representations.

 

S1W-328 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to seek information from Her Majesty’s Government about any correspondence between Her Majesty’s Government and the Chairman of the North of Scotland Water Authority regarding the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (91/271/EEC) and, if so, whether it will make details of this correspondence available.

 

S1W-329 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to make available copies of any correspondence it has had with the Chairman of the North of Scotland Water Authority regarding the Urban Waste Water Treatment Directive (91/271/EEC).

 

S1W-330 Michael Matheson: To ask the Scottish Executive what guidance it intends to issue to local authorities in order to tackle bullying and harassment of people who have a learning disability.

 

S1W-331 Michael Matheson: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to improve interpreting services for ethnic minorities.

 

S1W-332 Michael Matheson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends that the present review of services for people with a learning disability will address bullying and harassment.

 

S1W-333 Michael Matheson: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to provide counselling services to people with a learning disability who have experienced abuse or harassment.

 

S1W-334 Michael Matheson: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to tackle racism within the criminal justice system.

S1W-337 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has considered the benefits of bringing the funding for all post 16 education and training within one funding body, incorporating the relevant budgets of Scottish Enterprise, Highlands and Islands Enterprise and the Higher and Further Education Funding Councils, the New Deal programmes and the European Social Fund matching funds.

 

S1W-338 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to seek from Her Majesty’s Government a report on the incident in the Fair Isle Channel on 26 June 1999, when a tanker drifted without control for some 17 hours before the arrival of a salvage tug.

 

S1W-339 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to make representations to Her Majesty’s Government about the need to provide year round salvage tug cover for Scottish coastal waters, including a tug stationed in Orkney and Shetland.

 

S1W-340 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to make representations to Her Majesty’s Government about the need to maintain all existing Scottish coastguard stations to ensure a fast and effective response to marine incidents posing threats to the Scottish environment.

 

S1W-341 Tavish Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to make representations to Her Majesty’s Government about the need to improve the regulation of shipping carrying hazardous cargoes in Scottish coastal waters.

S1W-344 George Lyon: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to review the funding of remote medical practises such as Glenorchy and Innishail in Argyll and Bute.

 

S1W-345 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to seek evidence from other countries as to the effect which bans on tobacco advertising and sponsorship have on tobacco consumption.

 

S1W-346 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to introduce a ban on tobacco advertising and sponsorship.

 

S1W-347 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to implement the provisions in the Water Industry Act 1999 establishing a new regime for regulating the Scottish water authorities.

 

S1W-348 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive when it envisages that the proposed bill to abolish the feudal system of land tenure will receive Royal Assent.

 

S1W-349 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive what assurances it has sought and what response it has received from Lloyds TSB regarding the continued presence of Scottish Widows headquarters in Scotland and the continued employment in Scotland of all Scottish Widows employees.

S1W-352 Winnie Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to make representations to Her Majesty’s Government requesting that the Ministry of Defence purchase the largest possible proportion of its beef and lamb product requirements from Scottish production.
