S1W-1559 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will make representations to Her Majesty’s Government to ascertain exactly when they had information which indicated that Viasystems intended closing its Borders operations and whether it can confirm that members of Scottish Borders Enterprise board of directors knew of the closure plans as early as December 1997.

 

S1W-1565 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what assessment it has made or intends to make of the economic impact on Scotland’s coastal communities of the bans on scallop fishing introduced as a result of Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning.

 

S1W-1566 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to support the inclusion of Article 12.5, outlined in the draft regulations on European Structural Assistance in the fisheries sector, in the final document.

 

S1W-1567 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what has been the economic contribution to Scotland of the aquaculture industry, including any relevant statistics, over the last three years.

 

S1W-1568 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what has been the economic value of the inshore fishing industry, by sector, to the Scottish economy for the last three years, including any relevant statistics.

 

S1W-1569 Mr Andrew Welsh: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-1053 by Susan Deacon on 6 September 1999, whether it will seek a copy of the Tayside University Hospitals NHS Trust working group report on the Stracathro Hospital Services and comment on it.

 

S1W-1570 Shona Robison: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it was aware, when an announcement was made in July 1999 that all first year students would be offered a meningitis vaccination, that GPs would be unable to cope with the demand due to a shortage of vaccine.

 

S1W-1571 Shona Robison: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps are being taken to obtain further supplies of meningitis vaccine, and how will it ensure that these are distributed to GPs.

 

S1W-1573 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will consider extending the protection of security of tenure to the Carbeth Hutters and whether it will include in its proposed Land Reform Bill provisions which would prevent further eviction of the Hutters at Carbeth.

 

S1W-1575 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive how many citizens in Glasgow are liable to pay council tax liability and what is the number who qualify for full rebate.

 

S1W-1576 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive what its estimate is of the number of children who are living in families at poverty level and whether it will publish a table showing the numbers in each local authority area.

 

S1W-1577 Alex Neil: To ask the Scottish Executive what the latest estimate is of the number of houses in Scotland which suffer from dampness and whether it will publish a table showing the numbers in each local authority area.

 

S1W-1578 Mr Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive when the action plan setting out remedial action to be taken by East Dunbartonshire Council regarding the administration of housing and council tax benefits will be implemented.

 

S1W-1579 Mr Kenneth Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive which Scottish local authorities have implemented a formal housing and council tax anti-fraud policy and which have adopted the Department of Social Security verification framework.

 

S1W-1580 Dorothy-Grace Elder: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to S1W-1022 by Susan Deacon on 10 September 1999, what bodies and groups, including patients’ groups, were consulted by it or the National Services Division prior to September 1999 regarding the future of paediatric cardiac services in Scotland.

 

S1W-1581 Dorothy-Grace Elder: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will ensure that no final decision is made regarding the location of cardiac child surgery services before there has been an opportunity for a debate within the Parliament and the Health and Community Care Committee.

 

S1W-1582 Dorothy-Grace Elder: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the Glasgow branch of the Association of Children with Heart Disorders has been consulted regarding the ongoing review of paediatric cardiac surgery at the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Glasgow and, if not, why not.

 

S1W-1583 Scott Barrie: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it plans to strengthen the provision of support for young people requiring local authority throughcare and aftercare services.

 

S1W-1584 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-1049 by Henry McLeish on 6 September 1999, whether the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), in providing assurances regarding the grant award position at Viasystems, has at any time provided it with a copy of the DTI report of the investigation into the closure of the Viasystems plants in the Scottish Borders.
