1. Current Petitions: The Committee will further consider the following current petitions—

PE535 and PE888 Institutional child abuse. The Committee will consider responses from the Scottish Law Commission and the petitioner.

PE765 and PE795 To ensure the retention of the current 8 fire controls in Scotland. The Committee will consider the progress of these petitions.

PE768 The implications of the proposed Agenda for Change legislation for Speech and Language Therapy services and service users within the NHS. The Committee will consider a response from Amicus.

PE871 and PE874 Support for peaceful protest during the G8 summit. The Committee will consider the progress of these petitions.

PE886 Continued availability on prescription of medications such a donepezil, rivastigmine, galatamine and memantine for use in the treatment of Alzheimer’s Disease. The Committee will consider responses from NICE, NHS Quality Improvement Scotland, Irene Oldfather MSP and the petitioner.

PE900 and PE928 The Dalkeith Northern Bypass. The Committee will consider a response from the petitioner of PE900.

PE911 Scottish Executive support for market led urban regeneration projects and the operation of privatised urban regeneration companies. The Committee will consider a response from the petitioner.

PE923 Pastoral and spiritual care in hospitals. The Committee will consider comments from the petitioner and various members of a working group set up to consider responses to this petition.

PE930 Scottish Public Services Ombudsman. The Committee will consider a response from the petitioner.

PE934 Local Authorities’ Traffic Orders (Procedure) (Scotland) Regulations 1999. The Committee will consider a response from the petitioner.

PE938 Public consultation on health services. The Committee will consider a response from the petitioner.

PE960 Cranial abnormalities – plagiocephaly. The Committee will consider responses from Headstart 4Babies UK, NHS Quality Improvement Scotland, Scottish Cot Death Trust, British Association for Paediatric Surgeons, Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health, the Minister for Health and the petitioner.

PE973 Citizen’s Advice Bureaux. The Committee will consider responses from Scottish Borders Council, COSLA, Citizens Advice Scotland and the Scottish Executive.

PE974 Sequestration. The Committee will consider responses from the Scottish Public Services Ombudsman, the Accountant in Bankruptcy, and the Scottish Execuitve.

PE980 Protection for Health Service workers. The Committee will consider responses from NHS Greater Glasgow, UNISON, Royal College of Nursing, the British Medical Association, and the Scottish Executive.

PE981 Neuropsychological provision. The Committee will consider responses from NHS Education Scotland, British Psychological Society, the Minister for Health and the petitioner.

PE894 Far North Rail Line. The Committee will consider responses from the Scottish Executive and the petitioner.

PE920, PE922 and PE1018 NHS Dental Services. The Committee will consider a response from the petitioner of PE920.

PE921 and PE925 Tolled Bridges. The Committee will consider the progress of these petitions.

PE942 and PE943 New crossing over the Forth Estuary. The Committee will consider the progress of these petitions.

PE931 Skin cancer. The Committee will consider the progress of this petition.

PE932 Supporting People Funding. The Committee will consider a response from the petitioner.

PE977 The Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route. The Committee will consider a joint response from Transport Scotland and the Minister for Transport, and responses from NESTRANS, TRANSform Scotland, Aberdeen City Council, Aberdeenshire Council, and the petitioner.

PE979 Building warrants. The Committee will consider responses from the Scottish Building Standards Agency, Scottish Association of Building Standards Managers, COSLA, Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland, the Minister for Finance and Public Sector Reform, and the petitioner.

PE983 Microchip implants. The Committee will consider responses from the Scottish Executive, Health Protection Scotland and the petitioner.

PE996 Preparedness of Scottish schools for a nuclear accident. The Committee will consider responses from the Health and Safety Executive, COSLA, the Scottish Executive and the petitioner.

PE998 Kinship carers. The Committee will consider responses from Social Work Inspection Agency, Fostering Network, British Association for Adoption; Children 1st, the Scottish Executive and the petitioner.

PE999 School clothing grant. The Committee will consider responses from Child Poverty Action Group, One Parent Families Scotland, Poverty Alliance, COSLA, Association of the Directors of Education, Save the Children, the Scottish Executive and the petitioner.

PE1000 Health implications of the availability of cheap alcohol. The Committee will consider responses from Alcohol Focus Scotland, Scottish Retail Consortium, NHS Health Scotland, Scottish Licensed Trade Association, Chancellor of the Exchequer and the Scottish Executive.

PE1006 Prescribing arrangements for mesothelioma sufferers. The Commiittee will consider responses from NICE, NHS QIS, Greater Glasgow Health Board, Fife Health Board, Lothian and Borders Health Board, Tayside Health Board, and the petitioner.

2. Annual report: The Committee will consider a draft report.
