S2W-32271 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many parenting orders arising from truancy and exclusion from school have been issued this year, broken down by local authority area; how many have been breached; how many prosecutions have been mounted against those breaching such orders, and how many such prosecutions have been successful.

S2W-32272 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many (a) underweight and (b) premature babies were born in the last year for which figures are available and how many were born in 1997, broken down by NHS board.

S2W-32273 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what estimate it has made of the number of midwives required by the NHS (a) currently and (b) over the next five years.

S2W-32274 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many children under the age of 12 were classified as (a) obese and (b) overweight in each of the last five years, broken down by NHS board.

S2W-32275 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many patients were admitted to NHS hospitals for (a) drug-related and (b) alcohol-related illnesses and injuries in each year from 2002 to 2006, broken down by NHS board.

S2W-32276 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many nursing graduates had not completed a preceptorship one year after their graduation in each of the last three years.

S2W-32277 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many young offenders in custody committed (a) acts of self-harm and (b) suicide in each year since 2001.

S2W-32278 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many offenders in young offender institutions are held more than 50 miles from their home.

S2W-32279 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many drug treatment and testing orders were (a) issued to and (b) breached by offenders aged 18 and under in each year since 2001, broken down by local authority area.

S2W-32280 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many prosecutions for (a) vehicle theft, (b) theft, (c) sexual offences, (d) robbery, (e) racially aggravated offences, (f) breach of the peace, (g) domestic burglary, (h) non-domestic burglary, (i) motoring offences, (j) fraud and forgery, (k) drug offences, (l) causing death by dangerous driving, (m) causing injury by reckless driving, (n) criminal damage, (o) breach of bail, (p) arson and (q) violence against the person were brought against young people aged 18 and under that resulted in (i) acquittal and (ii) conviction in each year since 2001.

S2W-32281 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many people were (a) arrested, (b) charged, (c) prosecuted, (d) found guilty and (e) given a custodial sentence in cases involving (i) domestic violence, (ii) rape, (iii) violence against the person and (iv) burglary in each year from 1997 to 2006, broken down by police force area.

S2W-32282 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive whether there are any proposals to change cemetery preservation practice and, if so, whether it will give details of any such proposals including their status and timescale, to what extent family history, local history and other relevant organisations will be consulted and whether there are any proposals that may lead to the destruction of cemeteries and burial grounds.

S2W-32283 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-28485 by Peter Peacock on 4 October 2006, whether any further awards have been made towards renewable energy installation projects for schools, showing also the amount awarded to each local authority.

S2W-32284 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what change there has been in the number of (a) NHS beds, (b) general and acute beds, (c) intermediate care beds, (d) non-residential intermediate care places and (e) adult critical care beds in each year since 1999, broken down by NHS hospital.

S2W-32285 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many and what percentage of outpatient operations were cancelled in each NHS hospital in each of the last five years.

S2W-32287 Dr Sylvia Jackson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether consideration has been given to requiring local NHS boards to be statutory consultees for planning applications concerning large housing developments to enable the impact of such developments on local health services or facilities to be taken into account.

S2W-32288 Dr Sylvia Jackson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether consideration has been given to requiring local authorities to seek the views of neighbouring local authorities when large housing developments are proposed which may impact on traffic in the neighbouring area moving to and from such developments.

S2W-32289 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what information it has on when the GSM-R communication system will first come into use on any part of the Scottish railway network.

S2W-32290 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what information it has on any plans for the implementation of the European Rail Traffic Management System on any part of Scotland’s railway network.

S2W-32291 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive what alternative provision has been made for elderly people in south Lochaber by NHS Highland in respect of its application to close Glencoe Hospital; how many nursing care beds NHS Highland assesses will be sufficient to meet the needs of the south Lochaber area following closure of the hospital and whether it will make public the information on which this assessment was made, including any analysis of the demographic trend in numbers of elderly people until 2024, and whether the Executive considers that such analysis will meet the needs of those who are expected to provide nursing care in the future.

S2W-32292 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive what assessment it will make of the suitability of residential homes to provide nursing care in considering NHS Highland’s application to close Glencoe Hospital and whether such assessment will consider the number of nursing beds that will be require to be provided and when the necessary work to adapt residential homes is likely to be completed.

S2W-32293 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will respond to NHS Highland in respect of the application to close Glencoe Hospital prior to dissolution of the Parliament.

S2W-32294 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what percentage of police time was spent on frontline duties in each police force area in each year since 2003-04.

S2W-32295 Jim Mather: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has evaluated the impact of the integration of the careers service in the Western Isles into Highlands and Islands Enterprise and, if so, what the impact will be on the level of resources required to meet the needs of clients.

S2W-32296 Dr Elaine Murray: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to expand the availability of high speed broadband where download speeds are limited by the poor transmission quality of existing cabling.

S2W-32297 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what work is being undertaken in, or for, the criminal justice system to link with either the present or future Schengen Information System in relation to (a) European arrest warrants or (b) other functions.

S2W-32298 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what budget has been allocated for any work being undertaken in, or for, the criminal justice system to link with either the present or future Schengen Information System and when that work will be complete.

S2W-32299 Mike Pringle: To ask the Scottish Executive what guidelines are in place in respect of the siting of wind farms.

S2W-32300 Mr Andrew Arbuckle: To ask the Scottish Executive how many children have been home educated in each of the last five years.

S2W-32301 Mr Andrew Arbuckle: To ask the Scottish Executive how and at what frequency inspection of home education is carried out.

S2W-32302 Colin Fox: To ask the Scottish Executive how the sale of Meadowbank Stadium fits with the National Strategy for Sport.

S2W-32303 Jim Mather: To ask the Scottish Executive what issues it has raised in relation to the proposal, published in October 2006 by the European Commission and currently under discussion by an ad hoc working group of the European Council, for the establishment of an European Institute of Technology (EIT); whether it has raised such issues with Scottish MEPs, and what discussions have taken place with relevant UK or EU bodies about Scotland being a potential base for the board of the EIT or Scottish individuals or institutions becoming members of the board.

S2W-32304 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what consideration it has given to the impact of the developing market in Single Farm Payment entitlements on the ability of new entrants to farming to access such entitlements.

S2W-32305 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what assessment it has made of the employment consequences of the draft European postal service directive.

S2W-32306 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what information it has on whether and how Scotland will be represented on the regulatory authority provided for in the draft European postal service directive.

S2W-32307 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it intends to introduce voluntary modulation of single farm payments and, if so, at what level if voluntary modulation is adopted by the Agriculture/Fisheries Council on 19 March 2007 and includes the adoption of the Article 3 proposal for a council regulation laying down rules for voluntary modulation of direct payments which allow member states to apply differentiated rates of modulation, so long as they are already using existing voluntary modulation and are applying single farm payments at a regional level.

S2W-32308 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive when it expects to submit the Scottish Rural Development Programme to the European Commission.

S2W-32309 Karen Gillon: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-22271 by George Lyon on 13 January 2006, whether it will exempt people living in very sheltered accommodation in the Clydesdale parliamentary constituency and elsewhere from full council tax liability.

S2W-32310 Mr Andrew Welsh: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has for micropower technologies to be covered by general permitted development orders.

S2W-32311 Mr Andrew Welsh: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to consult the public on the use of micropower technologies as a way of reducing CO2 emissions.

S2W-32312 Mr Andrew Welsh: To ask the Scottish Executive what extra funding it plans to allocate to Angus Council for the provision of sites for Travelling People.

S2W-32313 Ms Sandra White: To ask the Scottish Executive what protocols exist in respect of it stating in answer to parliamentary questions that "this information is not held centrally".
