S2W-32241Δ Paul Martin: To ask the Scottish Executive what progress has been made on finalising its Scottish Historic Environment Policy 1 (SHEP) document following the recent consultation.

S2W-32242 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive how many planning applications proposing development on flood plains have been approved contrary to advice from the Scottish Environment Protection Agency and the terms of Scottish Planning Policy (SPP) 7 in each of the last five years; how many homes and buildings this represents, and whether it will give details of each such application.

S2W-32243 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether there is any guidance about building on a flood plain (a) within and (b) outwith a national park and whether it considers that residential dwelling houses should be built in areas considered to be at risk of flood once in every 200 years.

S2W-32244 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive how long on average it takes the Care Commission to provide appropriate accreditation for those who apply to become childminders; whether there is a backlog of around three months and a total time duration of four months to provide such accreditation; if so, whether the Executive considers such timescales acceptable and, if it does not, what steps it will take to reduce them.

S2W-32245 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will provide an update on progress on the construction of the Fochabers to Mosstodloch bypass, giving details of the scheduled date for the Court of Session hearing and the latest estimated cost and earliest start date in the event that the appeal is not upheld.

S2W-32246 Chris Ballance: To ask the Scottish Executive when the strategy for the Scots language promised in Scotland’s Culture: Scottish Executive Response on the Cultural Review will be published.

S2W-32247 Chris Ballance: To ask the Scottish Executive in what specific ways the arts have been placed at the centre of the work of each of its departments.

S2W-32248 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive how many frontline police officers there are in each force and how many there have been in each of the last five years, expressed also on a per capita basis.

S2W-32251 Robin Harper: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-31857 by Des McNulty on 22 February 2007 in respect of the number of private landlords registered under the Antisocial Behaviour etc. (Scotland) Act 2004, how many properties are covered by the applications awaiting determination and how many applications have been refused, broken down by local authority area.

S2W-32252 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many day nurseries have (a) closed and (b) opened since 2003, broken down into (i) private, voluntary and independent and (ii) maintained nurseries.

S2W-32259 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what the average (a) output of farm businesses by farm type and (b) change in output was in each year since 1997.

S2W-32260 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive how it will ensure that employing authorities have the skills and knowledge to assess whether teachers who have not attended a recognised Teacher of the Deaf course but are employed to teach deaf or hearing impaired pupils have acquired the necessary competencies.

S2W-32261 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive how teachers of deaf and hearing impaired pupils will find out about a range of methods to teach deaf children if they stay in their local authority to acquire competencies without attending a Teacher of the Deaf course.

S2W-32262 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive how it will ensure that teachers of deaf pupils who are trained by their employers will engage with issues that may challenge these employers, for example by looking critically at the concept of inclusion and what it means in practice for deaf children.

S2W-32263 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether teachers of deaf pupils trained through the competency route will be able to have their qualifications recognised in other parts of the United Kingdom or in other European countries.

S2W-32265 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-32072 by Johann Lamont on 7 March 2007, how much funding from the £10 million confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 was given to each project listed.

S2W-32266 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-32072 by Johann Lamont on 7 March 2007, whether all local authorities were invited to bid for the money confiscated under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 and how and when any decision was taken that only certain authorities were eligible for funding.

S2W-32267 Ms Sandra White: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it has taken to investigate the charging of VAT at 17.5% for insulated wall rendering and roofing works carried out on the homes of owner-occupiers factored by Glasgow Housing Association.

S2W-32268 Ms Sandra White: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it agrees with Glasgow Housing Association’s (GHA) position that it is legally obliged by registered charity law to recover the costs of renovation works carried out on the homes of owner-occupiers that it factors within 12 months and, if not, whether it has plans to investigate the matter.

S2W-32269 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what the total cost will be of upgrading the A830 from Fort William to Mallaig from single to twin track road since the beginning of the project to completion, expressed in 2006 prices.

S2W-32270 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive what the total cost will be of maintenance of the A830 from Fort William to Mallaig since the beginning of its upgrade from single to twin track road to completion, expressed in 2006 prices.
