S2W-31860 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with the Ministry of Defence regarding the introduction of e-learning lesson modules, entitled "Defence Dynamics", targeted at 14 to 16-year-old school pupils.

S2W-31861 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has made to the Ministry of Defence with regard to recruitment by the armed forces in schools.

S2W-31862 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what information it has on what proportion of the 15 soldiers under the age of 18 sent to frontline operational duties in Iraq since 2003 had first contact with the military through tri-service teams operated by the Ministry of Defence in schools in Scotland.

S2W-31863 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what information it has on what proportion of school pupils were recruited into the UK armed forces from Scottish schools following a visit by a tri-service recruitment team.

S2W-31864 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what guidance it is offering education departments across Scotland in respect of the use of the new e-learning lesson modules operated by the Ministry of Defence entitled "Defence Dynamics".

S2W-31865 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive whether any subject areas will be discontinued by education authorities in order to make way for the new e-learning lesson modules operated by the Ministry of Defence, entitled "Defence Dynamics" and, if so, which ones.

S2W-31866 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what its position is on increased levels of recruitment in Scottish schools targeting under 16-year-olds as a means to fill any shortfall in trained personnel in the UK armed forces.

S2W-31867 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with the Ministry of Defence regarding any specific elements of the current Scottish curriculum that led to Ministry of Defence tri-service teams carrying out 153 visits to Scottish schools in 2005-06, approximately one third of their total number of visits that year.

S2W-31868 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what guidance it offers to pupils and schools in contact with Ministry of Defence recruitment and military career teams to ensure that they are aware of children’s rights under UN protocols and UK-signed treaties with regard to the rights of the child, to ensure that no Scottish pupils under the age of 18 are deployed to frontline operational duties in Iraq, Afghanistan or elsewhere.

S2W-31869 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has allocated any funding in support of the proposed e-learning lesson modules and "Defence Dynamics" website operated by the Ministry of Defence and aimed at 14 to 16-year-old school pupils.

S2W-31870 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to commission, roll out and support e-learning lesson modules covering the (a) manufacturing, (b) construction and (c) services sector to ensure genuine choice for pupils in the context of the announcement by the Ministry of Defence of the "Defence Dynamics" e-learning lesson modules.

S2W-31871Δ Bristow Muldoon: To ask the Scottish Executive when it expects the NHS Scotland Resource Allocation Committee to submit its recommendations.

S2W-31872Δ Dr Elaine Murray: To ask the Scottish Executive how it will take forward its commitment to publishing a renewed statement on architecture policy, as announced in its response to the Cultural Commission report in 2006 and following its recent review and public consultation on architecture policy.

S2W-31873 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether Low Copy Number DNA comparison is used in the criminal justice system.

S2W-31874 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive how many runs are used when reconstructing DNA maps from microscopic quantities of material and what level of inconsistency between runs is considered to be evidentially reliable.

S2W-31875 Jim Mather: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the four EU regions, Catalonia, Baden-Württemberg, Lombardy and Rhône Alpes, which have signed an economic co-operation agreement known as the "Four Motors for Europe" have invited Scotland to be involved, or attend any of their events as an observer, as they have done for Wales and Flanders.

S2W-31876 Rob Gibson: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2O-11990 by Sarah Boyack on 15 February 2007 (Official Report, c. 32166-67), on what basis it states that BASF’s genetically modified potato EH92-527-1 is not going to be grown in Scotland or the rest of the United Kingdom.

S2W-31877 Dr Sylvia Jackson: To ask the Scottish Executive what assurance can be given that maintenance by Network Rail on the Dundee to Edinburgh railway line is adequate, following delays due to signal failure in the Falkirk area during the rush hour on 6 February 2007.

S2W-31878 Dr Sylvia Jackson: To ask the Scottish Executive what consideration is being given to extending the Water Charges Exemption Scheme beyond 2010.
