S2W-31475 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive what discussions it has had with British Airways and the British Airports Authority regarding the impact of the proposed sale of BA Connect to Flybe on local employment and the local economy.

S2W-31476 Patrick Harvie: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has published, or intends to publish, a review of the issues covered in the annual statements of education improvement objectives that are required to be published by education authorities under section 5 of the Standards in Scotland’s Schools etc. Act 2000.

S2W-31477 Patrick Harvie: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has published, or intends to publish, a review of the ways in which education authorities encourage equal opportunities, and in particular the observance of equal opportunities requirements, as specified in section 5(2)(b) of the Standards in Scotland’s Schools etc. Act 2000.

S2W-31478 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive why the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive was not implemented in Scotland on 4 January 2006, as required by Article 15 of that directive.

S2W-31479 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what evidence it has that Scotland does not have sufficient qualified or accredited experts for full implementation of the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive.

S2W-31480 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive when the European Commission was notified of Scotland’s inability to implement the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive on time and what reasons were given to the commission.

S2W-31481 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what the Scottish framework is for approval of independent experts, required under Article 10 of the EU Energy Performance of Buildings Directive, and what the timetable is for approval of these experts.

S2W-31482 Ms Maureen Watt: To ask the Scottish Executive how many traffic police officers have been employed by each police force in each of the last five years, showing year-on-year percentage changes and expressed also per head of population.

S2W-31483 Jim Mather: To ask the Scottish Executive how many Canadian citizens have used the Fresh Talent: Working in Scotland visa scheme in the past two years and, of these, how many are still living and working in Scotland.

S2W-31484 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what advice it has received from the Auditor General for Scotland in respect of the limits on liabilities for which no budget provision is made before special remedial action should be taken.

S2W-31485 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what contingent liabilities have been recorded in the accounts of the Executive, its agencies and non-departmental public bodies in each of the last five years and what triggers led to the removal of any portion of a contingent liability.

S2W-31486 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what proposals from (a) auditors, (b) contractors, (c) sub-contractors, (d) ministers or (e) officials for inclusion of a contingent liability in the accounts of the Executive, its agencies and non-departmental public bodies were not included in published accounts in each of the last five years.

S2W-31488 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it took to use Burns Night to promote Scotland abroad.

S2W-31489 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps were taken to interact and communicate with Scottish communities and societies abroad in respect of Burns Night.

S2W-31490 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive how many Burns suppers it hosted abroad in January 2007; where they were located; who organised them; whether Scottish firms or organisations were invited to attend, and what similar information it has on Burns suppers organised by the UK Permanent Representation to the European Union (UKRep) or any other UK Government department.

S2W-31491 Mr John Swinney: To ask the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body how much expenditure the Scottish Information Commissioner has incurred from the SPCB’s central contingency fund to date in (a) legal costs and (b) court costs in defending the case of The Scottish Ministers v The Scottish Information Commissioner (William Alexander’s Application).

S2W-31492 Mr John Swinney: To ask the Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body how much it expects the Scottish Information Commissioner to apply for from the SPCB’s central contingency fund for (a) legal costs and (b) court costs in defending the case of The Scottish Ministers v The Scottish Information Commissioner (William Alexander’s Application).

S2W-31493 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what estimate it has made of the costs to farmers of implementing Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control (IPPC) measures; what representations it has received regarding the costs of implementation, and whether a regulatory impact assessment has been carried out on the application of the IPPC measures to (a) pig and (b) poultry farmers.

S2W-31494 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-30374 by Ross Finnie on 15 December 2006, why, given that it was received by its Environment and Rural Affairs Department shortly after 21 November 2002, the European Commission Agriculture Directorate General’s Guidance Note 6 on the application of article 36(1) was not included in the guidance issued in the Suckler Cow Premium Scheme 2003 pack in July 2003.

S2W-31495 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive what the estimated cost is of proceedings in the case of William Smith v K D Scott, Electoral Registration Officer.

S2W-31496 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive what the estimated legal aid bill is of the agents and counsel of William Smith for the proceedings in his case against K D Scott, Electoral Registration Officer.

S2W-31497 Mike Pringle: To ask the Scottish Executive what written contract has been entered into between NHS Lothian and Consort Healthcare to allow the reduction of parking charges at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh from a maximum of £10 per day to £7 and whether it will publish any such contract.

S2W-31498 Mike Pringle: To ask the Scottish Executive how many open prisons there are and how many prisoners are held in each.

S2W-31499 Mike Pringle: To ask the Scottish Executive what categories of prisoner are eligible for transfer to open prison and at what point in a sentence prisoners are routinely transferred to an open prison.

S2W-31500 Mike Pringle: To ask the Scottish Executive whether any open prisons receive prisoners immediately after sentencing and what guidelines exist on the use of open prisons.
