S2W-8798 Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: To ask the Scottish Executive what the current combined local authority and Executive expenditure per pupil in state secondary schools is in (a) each local authority and (b) Scotland.

S2W-8799 John Farquhar Munro: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the feasibility study to be carried out into the future of the Bull Hire Scheme will consider the (a) introduction of a replacement grant scheme and (b) refining of the current scheme, in line with recommendations in the Scottish Agricultural College's Report on the Review of the Crofters Commission Livestock Improvement Schemes to make the scheme compliant with EU state aid rules and best value.

S2W-8800 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive what targets it has set in respect of the number of public health consultants and specialists per head of population and what steps it is taking to ensure that such targets are met, in light of recent news reports regarding a possible shortage of public health specialists.

S2W-8801 Nicola Sturgeon: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-7760 by Cathy Jamieson on 7 May 2004, whether it has at any time on or after 29 January 2004 provided any insurance in respect of HM Prison Kilmarnock; whether it currently provides any insurance in respect of the prison, and, if so, whether it will give details of any such insurance.

S2W-8802 Nicola Sturgeon: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-7760 by Cathy Jamieson on 7 May 2004, whether it will give details of any waiver by it of the contractor's obligation to secure insurance under Minute of Agreement between the Secretary of State for Scotland and Kilmarnock Prison Services Limited for the Design, Construction, Management and Financing of a Prison at Kilmarnock.

S2W-8803 Nicola Sturgeon: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-7760 by Cathy Jamieson on 7 May 2004, what conclusion has been reached in respect of the notice received on 29 January 2004 under paragraph 6.8 of Minute of Agreement between the Secretary of State for Scotland and Kilmarnock Prison Services Limited for the Design, Construction, Management and Financing of a Prison at Kilmarnock.

S2W-8804 Nicola Sturgeon: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-7760 by Cathy Jamieson on 7 May 2004, whether it will give full details of the notice received on 29 January 2004 under paragraph 6.8 of Minute of Agreement between the Secretary of State for Scotland and Kilmarnock Prison Services Limited for the Design, Construction, Management and Financing of a Prison at Kilmarnock, including (a) the effective date of the notice, (b) the risk insured, (c) the extent of the insurance, (d) the insured sum, (e) the premium, (f) any excess requested by the previous insurer for a replacement policy, (g) details of any proposal the contractor made in the notice to mitigate, manage and control such risks and (h) details of any financial resources available to the contractor to meet any claim made against it in respect of such risks.

S2W-8805 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what the criteria are for accessing a methadone prescription or maintenance programme in Edinburgh.

S2W-8806 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what the average waiting time is for those who (a) meet and (b) do not meet the criteria for accessing a methadone prescription or maintenance programme in Edinburgh.

S2W-8807Δ Des McNulty: To ask the Scottish Executive whether agreement has been reached in respect of the future of Scottish Opera.

S2W-8808 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive how many long leases there are, broken down by registration county.

S2W-8809 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has received a report from the Scottish Law Commission in respect of proposed legislation on the conversion of long leases.

S2W-8810 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will publish a draft bill in respect of the conversion of long leases.

S2W-8811 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what monitoring is undertaken into any potential air, land and water pollution incidents from the Energy, Power, Resources Ltd plant at Cardenden, Fife.

S2W-8812 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what (a) air, (b) land or (c) water pollution incidents have occurred at the Energy, Power, Resources Ltd plant at Cardenden, Fife, since 2001.

S2W-8813 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what prosecutions have been undertaken as a result of (a) air, (b) land or (c) water pollution incidents at the Energy, Power, Resources Ltd plant in Cardenden, Fife, since 2001 and how many such prosecutions have been successful.

S2W-8814 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what environmental safeguards are in place for the area surrounding the Energy, Power, Resources Ltd plant at Cardenden, Fife in respect of air, land and water pollution from the plant.

S2W-8815 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what health safeguards are in place for the population surrounding the Energy, Power, Resources Ltd plant at Cardenden, Fife in respect of air, land and water pollution from the plant.

S2W-8816 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-7684 by Nicol Stephen on 7 May 2004, what the reasons are for the data not being held centrally; what information it has on which countries Scotland imports fuel from, and how much is imported from each such country.

S2W-8817 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive when it was made aware of Lech Walesa's recent visit to Scotland House in Brussels and why no minister was in attendance.

S2W-8818 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will widen the specification of the NorthLink Orkney and Shetland Ferries Ltd contract to include extending the service to Rosyth and consider creating a direct ferry link between the Northern Isles and Rosyth.

S2W-8819 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-7685 by Nicol Stephen on 7 May 2004, what plans it has to publish its response to the Study Report published by the Macaulay Land Use Research Institute on biofuels.

S2W-8820 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what information it uses when determining renewable energy policy.
