S2W-7510 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will publish guidelines on the use of Bute House by Scottish Ministers; when any such guidelines were approved, and by whom.

S2W-7511 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive what distinction is made between official and private use of Bute House by the First Minister and Scottish Ministers.

S2W-7512 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive what rooms in Bute House are designated for (a) the private use of the First Minister and Scottish Ministers and (b) official purposes only.

S2W-7513 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive what the purpose was of any reception held on the evening of 10 March 2004 at Bute House; whether it was a private function; whether any of the public areas of Bute House were used for the reception, and whether the cost of catering was met from public funds.

S2W-7514 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-6947 by Mr Andy Kerr on 7 April 2004, which of these functions or receptions were not paid for from public funds; whether the cost was met by other organisations or individuals and, if so, which organisations or individuals, stating how much was contributed in each case.

S2W-7517 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to S2W-6947 by Mr Andy Kerr on 7 April 2004, whether it will publish a list of those invited to official receptions at Bute House since May 2003.

S2W-7518 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answers to questions S2W-6949 and S2W-6950 by Mr Andy Kerr on 7 April 2004, why it has no plans to publish on a monthly basis the cost of, and list of people invited to, receptions and functions hosted by the First Minister and Scottish Ministers.

S2W-7519 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to S1W-33632 by Patricia Ferguson on 17 February 2003, whether arrangements have been put in place to hold centrally the list of such ministerial visits to each parliamentary constituency and, if so, whether these will be published.

S2W-7520 Tricia Marwick: To ask the Scottish Executive, what arrangements are in place to publish all official engagements of the First Minister and Scottish Ministers.

S2W-7521 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what its plans are in relation to the announcement by the board of directors of Scotland the Brand that it would recommend that the company be put into voluntary liquidation at a general meeting on 21 April 2004; what discussions it has had, at ministerial or official level, with representatives of Scotland the Brand about this matter, and whether it has any plans to fund a logo or brand to promote Scotland overseas.

S2W-7523 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what the value is of the music industry in terms of employment and contribution to the economy in the current year and what the value has been in each of the last three years.

S2W-7524 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what its strategy is to support the development of the music industry.

S2W-7525 Jim Mather: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has for an information campaign to raise awareness of business and service provider obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

S2W-7526 Jim Mather: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to inform business and service providers of penalties they can face as a result of failing to meet obligations under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

S2W-7527 Jim Mather: To ask the Scottish Executive who is responsible for the provision of access within a school that allows service providers to use a school for purposes other than education or associated services when Part III of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 comes into force on 1 October 2004.

S2W-7528 Ms Sandra White: To ask the Scottish Executive when it is envisaged that the review of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 will be complete.

S2W-7529 Ms Sandra White: To ask the Scottish Executive whether explicit reference is likely to be made to the regulation of lapdancing clubs when the review of the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982 is completed.

S2W-7530 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will implement the EU ambient noise directive 2002/49/EC.

S2W-7531 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive how it will implement the EU ambient noise directive 2002/49/EC.

S2W-7532 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what research has been undertaken into the health effects of ambient noise on (a) all adults, (b) adults with mental health problems, (c) adults with hypertension and cardiovascular disease, (d) adults and children with hearing impairment, (e) adults with learning difficulties, (f) all children, (g) children with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or social emotional behavioural difficulties and (h) children with hypertension or cardiovascular disease.

S2W-7533 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what research has been undertaken into the health effects of ambient noise on (a) agricultural animals, (b) companion animals such as guide dogs, (c) zoo and circus animals and (d) wild animals.

S2W-7534 Ms Rosemary Byrne: To ask the Scottish Executive what resources will be allocated to local authorities to implement the EU ambient noise directive 2002/49/EC.

S2W-7535 Robin Harper: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it intends to take to ensure that aggregates levy funding to environmental projects, in particular to geodiversity audits, is in line with the funding available to such projects in England and Wales.

S2W-7537 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive how it will ensure genetic diversity in small herds of cattle in remote areas following the withdrawal of livestock improvement schemes.

S2W-7538 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive how the withdrawal of livestock improvement schemes contributes to the plan for the eradication of scrapie from sheep flocks.

S2W-7539 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive when the results of the consultation on livestock improvement schemes will be made public and what the reasons are for withdrawing certain schemes prior to the release of these results.

S2W-7540 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive how much money will be saved as a result of its withdrawal of livestock improvement schemes.

S2W-7541 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether discussions were held with the European Commission regarding its livestock improvement schemes.

S2W-7542 Eleanor Scott: To ask the Scottish Executive whether its livestock improvement schemes were in breach of European State Aid rules and, if so, whether it sought a derogation.

S2W-7543 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what the average waiting time is for breast screening in the NHS this year and what it has been in each of the last three years.

S2W-7544 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive how many of the EU accession countries' languages are taught in schools.

S2W-7547 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what assessment it has made of the introduction of scallop conservation measures in terms of (a) their economic impact on scallop fishermen and (b) the practical and economic consequences of the measures for processing firms and supporting onshore industries and what steps it will take to offset any impacts.

S2W-7548 Stewart Stevenson: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it is taking to address industry safety concerns that have emerged as a result of the introduction of scallop conservation measures.
