S2W-4975 Des McNulty: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it still expects the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care to become self-financing through registration fees from 2004-05.

S2W-4976 Des McNulty: To ask the Scottish Executive what submissions it has received from local authorities, voluntary sector providers and private sector providers regarding the implications of the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care being expected to become self-financing through registration fees from 2004-05.

S2W-4977 Des McNulty: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it still intends to require (a) all new adult care homes to meet the standards for en suite facilities and (b) an end to shared rooms in 2007 and how many care home places it estimates will be lost as a result of such requirements.

S2W-4978 Alasdair Morgan: To ask the Scottish Executive whether permission has been given for waste material to be disposed of at the former Dalquhandy opencast mine in Lanarkshire.

S2W-5012 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2O-932 by Nicol Stephen on 11 December 2003, when it received the business case for the Borders railway and when it expects to make an announcement in respect of its additional funding contribution to support construction of the railway.

S2W-5013 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive how much of the funding for the Borders railway will be raised by each relevant local authority; how this funding will be raised; what its position would be if local authorities do not raise the expected funding, and what its position would be if the Strategic Rail Authority does not deliver its expected funding for the project.

S2W-5014 Linda Fabiani: To ask the Scottish Executive how much it, and the former Scottish Office, have allocated to travelling theatre companies in each financial year since 1995-96, broken down by company.

S2W-5015 Mr Ted Brocklebank: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-2732 by Ross Finnie on 1 October 2003, what provisions in the Water Environment and Water Services (Scotland) Act 2003 give the Scottish Environment Protection Agency the scope and ability to provide significant water storage to obviate any need for abstraction from the River Dee.

S2W-5016 Dennis Canavan: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to introduce an independent system for dealing with complaints against the police.

S2W-5018 Dennis Canavan: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it will take in response to the announcement by the Chancellor of the Exchequer of tax relief for community amateur sports clubs, including a concession of at least 80% on council tax.

S2W-5019 Mr Ted Brocklebank: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-2731 by Ross Finnie on 1 October 2003, what the proposed, or agreed, timescale is for Scottish Water to replace broken pipes in Aberdeenshire to ensure that low water levels do not endanger salmon stocks in the River Dee.

S2W-5020 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive how many road accidents there have been on the A737 in each of the last five years and how many there have been on the section between Kilbarchan and Lochwinnoch Roadhead roundabout.

S2W-5021 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to upgrade the access arrangements from the village of Howwood to the A737.

S2W-5022 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive whether Amey Highways Ltd will be upgrading junctions on the A737 or carrying out other works to improve the safety of that road.

S2W-5023 Mr Bruce McFee: To ask the Scottish Executive who would be responsible, under its agreement with Amey Highways Ltd, for initiating road and road junction upgrading schemes on the A737 and who would finance such upgrades.

S2W-5024Δ Helen Eadie: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will consult on Care Commission fee levels for 2004-05.

S2W-5025 Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any concerns in respect of the impact of the withdrawal of the Headteachers' Association of Scotland from the Teachers' Panel of the Scottish Negotiating Committee for Teachers.

S2W-5026 Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it will take to ensure that, in any negotiations on teachers' working conditions, the views of members of the Headteachers' Association of Scotland are adequately and fairly taken into account.
