  1. Future Business Programme
  2. It was agreed to recommend to the Parliament a future business programme for weeks beginning 17 and 24 November 2003. (for text of motion see Section F of the Business Bulletin for 5 November 2003)

  3. Procedural Motions

The Bureau agreed to recommend to the Parliament that the Justice 1 Committee be designated as lead committee in consideration of the draft Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 Amendment (Scotland) Order 2003.

It was also agreed to recommend to the Parliament that the Justice 2 Committee be designated as lead committee in consideration of the Scottish Legal Aid Board (Employment of Solicitors to Provide Criminal Legal Assistance) Amendment Regulations 2003, (SSI 2003/511).

3. Criminal Procedure (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill - Stage 1 Timetable

The Bureau agreed to recommend to the Parliament that Stage 1 of the Criminal

Procedure (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill be completed by 13 February 2004.

4. Primary Medical Services (Scotland) Bill - Stage 2 Referral and Timetable

The Bureau agreed to refer the Primary Medical Services (Scotland) Bill back to the Health Committee for consideration at Stage 2 for completion by 3 December 2003.

5. Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) - Stage 1 Referral

The Bureau agreed to refer consideration of the Education (Additional Support for Learning) (Scotland) Bill to the Education Committee as lead committee and to the Equal Opportunities as secondary committee at Stage 1. The Bureau also referred the bill to the Subordinate Legislation Committee for consideration of the delegated powers provisions.

6. Antisocial Behaviour etc. (Scotland) Bill - Stage 1 Referral

The Bureau agreed to refer consideration of the Antisocial Behaviour etc. (Scotland) Bill to the Communities Committee as lead committee and the Justice 2 Committee and Local Government and Transport Committee as secondary committees at Stage 1. The Bureau also referred the bill to the Subordinate Legislation Committee for consideration of the delegated powers provisions.

7. Date of Next Meeting

It was agreed that the next meeting would be at 2.30 pm on 11 November 2003.
