*S2M-536 Mr Andy Kerr: Criminal Procedure (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill - Financial Resolution-That the Parliament, for the purposes of any Act of the Scottish Parliament resulting from the Criminal Procedure (Amendment) (Scotland) Bill, agrees to any increase, in consequence of the Act, in expenditure payable out of the Scottish Consolidated Fund.

*S2M-535 John Farquhar Munro: Roy Wentworth-That the Parliament notes with regret the sad death of Roy Wentworth, Gaelic scholar, teacher and language activist; expresses condolences to his family and recognises his extensive contribution to the recording of Gaelic place names and vocabulary and the development of the Gaelic Parliamentary Dictionary and his unflagging use of Gaelic as an integral part of his daily life, work and culture, to ensure that both the language and culture of the Gael survives and develops.

The member has provided the following Gaelic translation:

Gu bheil a' Phàrlamaid a' toirt fainear le mulad bàs brònach Roy Wentworth, sgoilear, neach-teagaisg is neach-strì cànain; gu bheil i a' cur an cèill co-fhaireachdainn leis an teaghlach aige agus gu bheil i ag aithneachadh na h-obrach farsaing a rinn e air clàradh ainmean-àite, air briathrachas Gàidhlig agus air Faclair na Pàrlamaid agus mar a chleachd e Gàidhlig gun tàmh mar phàirt bhunaiteach de a bheatha, a obair is a chultar làitheil gus dèanamh cinnteach gum maireadh is gum fàsadh an dà chuid cànan agus cultar nan Gaidheal.

*S2M-534# Helen Eadie: New Forth Crossing-That the Parliament welcomes the proposal by the Leader of Fife Council that planning and preparation now be undertaken for the construction of a further crossing over the River Forth; notes that the existing Forth Road Bridge required in excess of 16 years lead-in time before it was built and that traffic levels on the current bridge continue to grow well beyond the recommended capacity of 68,000, increasing pollution over the Forth, placing a severe brake on economic links to the north of Scotland and thereby making the economic and environmental case for ensuring that the new crossing combines both road and tram or rail freight traffic indisputable, and further notes the benefits to economic development and employment in Scotland of designing and building a new Forth crossing.

*S2M-533 Mr Andy Kerr: Draft Budget (Scotland) Act 2003 Amendment (No.2) Order 2003-That the Finance Committee recommends that the draft Budget (Scotland) Act 2003 Amendment (No.2) Order 2003 be approved.
