  1. Future Business Programme
  2. It was agreed to recommend to the Parliament a future business programme for the weeks beginning 6 and 27 October 2003. (for text of motion see Section F of the Business Bulletin for 1 October 2003)

  3. Procedural Motions
  4. It was agreed to recommend to the Parliament that the following Instruments be approved:

    the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (West Coast) (No.9) (Scotland) Order 2003 (SSI 2003/409); the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (West Coast) (No.10) (Scotland) Order 2003 (SSI 2003/410); the Food Protection (Emergency Prohibitions) (Amnesic Shellfish Poisoning) (Orkney) (No.3) (Scotland) Order 2003 (SSI 2003/429). It was also agreed to recommend to the Parliament that the Justice 1 Committee be designated as lead committee in consideration of the following instruments— the draft Victim Statements (Prescribed Courts) (Scotland) Order 2003;

    the Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2003 (Transitional Provisions) Order 2003 (SSI 2003/438); the Victims’ Rights (Prescribed Bodies) (Scotland) Order 2003 (SSI 2003/440); the Victim Statements (Prescribed Offences (Scotland) Order 2003 (SSI 2003/441).

  5. Prostitution Tolerance Zones (Scotland) Bill – Stage 1 Completion Date
  6. It was agreed to recommend to the Parliament that Stage 1 of the Prostitution Tolerance Zones (Scotland) Bill be completed by 30 April 2004.

  7. Stirling-Alloa-Kincardine Railway and Linked Improvements Bill – Preliminary Stage Completion Date
  8. It was agreed to recommend to the Parliament that the Preliminary Stage of the Stirling-Alloa-Kincardine Railway and Linked Improvements Bill be completed by 12 December 2003.

  9. Nature Conservation (Scotland) Bill – Stage 1 Referral
  10. It was agreed that the Nature Conservation (Scotland) Bill be referred to the Environment and Rural Development Committee as lead committee in consideration of the Bill at Stage 1. The Bureau also referred the bill to the Subordinate Legislation Committee for consideration of the delegated powers provisions.

  11. Date of Next Meeting

It was agreed that the next meeting would be at 2.30 pm on 7 October 2003.
