The following Petitions were lodged with the Parliament on 18 and 19 September 2003—

PE667 Petition by Mr R Carruthers, calling for the Scottish Parliament to investigate alleged discrimination against convicted sex offenders held in HMP Peterhead.

PE668 Petition by Frank Harvey, calling for the Scottish Parliament to take the necessary steps to protect children from being bullied by other children in Scottish schools.

PE669 Petition by Elaine Pomeransky, calling for the Scottish Parliament to investigate what practical steps are currently being taken to deal with anti-Semitism and to promote gender equality in Scottish schools.

PE670 Petition by the Public and Commercial Services trade union, calling for the Scottish Parliament to investigate the decision by the Scottish Executive to relocate the headquarters of Scottish Natural Heritage to Inverness.

PE671 Petition by the Scottish Trades Union Congress, calling for the Scottish Parliament to take a view that opposes the detention of children at Dungavel detention centre; and to ensure that the Scottish Executive meets its statutory commitments to provide mainstream education for all children in Scotland.
