S2W-1980 Donald Gorrie: To ask the Scottish Executive whether any funds from the Scottish Prison Service's (SPS) budget are being used to support the operation of Dungavel House immigration removal centre and, if so, how much is being used, expressed as a percentage of the total SPS budget and in actual cash terms.

S2W-1981 Maureen Macmillan: To ask the Scottish Executive whether there are any guidelines for NHS boards about minimising air travel costs for consultants and others contracted to carry out work for boards through advance ticket booking and what monitoring it carries out on this issue.

S2W-1982 Richard Lochhead: To ask the Scottish Executive what the performance of the drugs courts have been since their establishment; what evidence it has to support such conclusions; what plans it has to extend these courts to other areas, in particular the Grampian area, and what the timetable is for any such extension.

S2W-1996 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what work it has commissioned to evaluate the (a) clinical and (b) cost effectiveness of providing phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitors on the NHS for the treatment of erectile dysfunction and what the outcome of such work was.

S2W-1997 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will broaden access to treatments for erectile dysfunction on the NHS and, if so, to which patient groups.

S2W-1998 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive which areas of medical research it currently funds, other than those areas funded through the £47 million allocated to the Office of the Chief Scientist, and how much each such research area receives.

S2W-1999 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will meet representatives of rural GPs to discuss issues of concern about the roll-out of the new GP contract.

S2W-2000 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will extend the current NHS dentists' "golden hello" scheme to include EU registered dentists who are willing to work in Scotland.

S2W-2002 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will meet local health councils to discuss setting up the new Scottish Health Council as an independent organisation working with, but external to, the NHS.

S2W-2003 Mr David Davidson: To ask the Scottish Executive what input its Health Department is making to the initiative to improve access to sporting facilities for all; whether any part of the department's budget will be allocated to that initiative, and when there will be a reduction in demand on the NHS as a result of the initiative.

S2W-2004 Cathy Peattie: To ask the Scottish Executive what (a) national and (b) individual NHS board policies exist on the retention of medical data including test results and associated records.

S2W-2005 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive what the main causes of traffic congestion are and what measures are in place, and are being considered, to deal with the issue.

S2W-2006 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive when a decision will be taken on whether a planning inquiry will be set up in respect of works to the A8000.

S2W-2007 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-1058 by Tavish Scott on 28 July 2003, whether it has sought, or will seek, membership at full, association, or other level of the (a) West Norden and (b) Nordic Council of Ministers and what the reasons are for its position on this matter.

S2W-2008 Cathy Peattie: To ask the Scottish Executive how awards to local authorities under its £1 million youth crime prevention initiative announced on 25 June 2003 were calculated.

S2W-2009 Donald Gorrie: To ask the Scottish Executive how much money has been (a) allocated to and (b) spent on, projects in each of the six areas designated under the Fairshare programme between the Community Fund and the New Opportunities Fund since the programme was established.

S2W-2010 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the Short Sea and Waterways Forum, announced by the Department for Transport on 17 July 2003, will also operate in Scotland; if so, what the forum's role will be, and what the Executive's position is on the promotion and operation of the forum.

S2W-2011 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive what the division of responsibility is between it and the Department for Transport on aviation matters and what the remit is of each area of responsibility.

S2W-2012 Mr Mark Ruskell: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-1227 by Ross Finnie on 24 July 2003, whether it will give the information requested on the numbers of live sheep, lambs and pigs exported for slaughter, further fattening and breeding, for Scotland only.

S2W-2013 Mr Mark Ruskell: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to ensure that wind farms are not excluded from Ministry of Defence tactical training areas.

S2W-2014 Mr Mark Ruskell: To ask the Scottish Executive what improvements are being made to the National Grid infrastructure to ensure that the target of generating 40% of energy from renewable sources by 2020 is met.

S2W-2015 Mr Mark Ruskell: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has for the national co-ordination of the building of wind farms.

S2W-2016 Mr Mark Ruskell: To ask the Scottish Executive what progress it has made on setting a minimum tariff per megawatt per year that local communities will receive from the developers of wind farms.

S2W-2017 Mr Mark Ruskell: To ask the Scottish Executive what the process is for local community involvement in wind farm planning applications that are considered by it and not the local authority.

S2W-2023 Robert Brown: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it has taken to increase funding in Glasgow for drug addiction services since the report on estimating the national and local prevalence of problem drug misuse was published in November 2001.

S2W-2024 Robert Brown: To ask the Scottish Executive whether money held in blocked right to buy accounts will be made available to registered social landlords.

S2W-2025 Robert Brown: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to support youth work by uniformed and non-uniformed organisations.

S2W-2026 Robert Brown: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it is committed to establishing a single national accreditation scheme for property managers.

S2W-2027 Robert Brown: To ask the Scottish Executive what assistance it will provide to support the establishment of owners' associations for tenement buildings.

S2W-2035 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many female prisoners have been sexually assaulted in each of the last five years, broken down by prison.

S2W-2036 Elaine Smith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many local authorities have sought approval, or have indicated that they intend to seek approval, for the designation of pressured areas under section 45 of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2001.

S2W-2037 Dr Jean Turner: To ask the Scottish Executive what the rules are for the tendering of contracts for the design, build, equipping and operation of NHS buildings and how it ensures that such rules are complied with.

S2W-2038 Dr Jean Turner: To ask the Scottish Executive what the current position is regarding the tendering exercise for the design, build, equipping and operation of a new ambulatory care and diagnostic unit at Stobhill Hospital, Glasgow; whether it is satisfied with how this exercise has been conducted and whether the tendering of these services will ensure value for money and quality of services to patients in the Greater Glasgow NHS Board area.

S2W-2039 Dr Jean Turner: To ask the Scottish Executive under what circumstances it would not award a contract for the design, build, equipping and operation of an NHS facility following a tendering exercise.

S2W-2040 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many people have worked in the public sector in each of the last six years, broken down by NHS, local authority, non-departmental public body, central government and any other sector.

S2W-2041 Rhona Brankin: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it is taking to ensure that women on hormone replacement therapy (HRT) are advised of any possible links between HRT and the risk of breast cancer, following the publication of HRT and Breast Cancer: Results of the Million Women Study, and how it will ensure that pharmaceutical companies make this information available to women.

S2W-2042 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-1477 by Nicol Stephan on 7 August 2003, what the detailed breakdown was of the £39 million construction cost of the Skye Bridge, including construction, fees, building of approach roads, and interest payments to the private financiers of the project and whether these costs were funded directly through public spending or through revenue from tolls.

S2W-2043 Mr Brian Monteith: To ask the Scottish Executive how many planning appeals it heard from 1 January 1999 to 30 June 2003 and how many such appeals were successful.

S2W-2044 Brian Adam: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any plans to review the registers of land holdings to include options to purchase land.

S2W-2045 Shiona Baird: To ask the Scottish Executive what the annual tonnage of waste diverted from landfill by community recycling groups was in each of the last two years and who was responsible for calculating this figure.

S2W-2046 Shiona Baird: To ask the Scottish Executive how it will monitor the involvement of the community recycling sector in the implementation of Area Waste Plans.

S2W-2047 Shiona Baird: To ask the Scottish Executive how it will ensure that awards from the Strategic Waste Fund are spent in accordance with implementation plans submitted by local authorities.

S2W-2048 Δ Michael McMahon: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will meet the commitment in A Partnership for a Better Scotland to update and publish the Scottish Ministerial Code and A Guide to Collective Decision Making.

S2W-2049 Δ Rhona Brankin: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it is satisfied with the performance of the Scottish Qualifications Authority.

S2W-2050 Alasdair Morgan: To ask the Scottish Executive what recent assessment has been made of the environmental security and public safety impact of the containment measures put in place by Her Majesty's Government to deal with the live cluster bombs dropped in Luce Bay, Wigtownshire, in 1999.

S2W-2051 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive when it will announce the location for the headquarters of Forest Enterprise Scotland.

S2W-2052 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the headquarters of Forest Enterprise Scotland will be located in Inverness.

S2W-2053 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-34338 by Ross Finnie on 7 March 2003, what steps it has taken to support the continued existence of the Ardtoe Marine Farming Unit.

S2W-2054 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has received any representations from any potential new owner of the Ardtoe Marine Farming Unit for assistance; if so, on what date any such request was first made, when it responded, and what its response was.

S2W-2055 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to safeguard jobs at the Ardtoe Marine Farming Unit; what assistance it will provide to safeguard these jobs, and whether it will make an announcement on the future of the unit before the end of August 2003.

S2W-2056 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has received regarding research under its strategic framework for aquaculture and when such research will be commissioned through the Scottish Aquaculture Research Forum.

S2W-2057 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether the Minister, or Deputy Minister, for Environment and Rural Development have visited the Ardtoe Marine Farming Unit and what the reasons are for its position on this matter.

S2W-2058 Fiona Hyslop: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it is preparing a Scottish chapter to the five-yearly report on the monitoring of the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) to be submitted by Her Majesty's Government in 2004 to the UN Committee on the Rights of the Child; when it will publish this chapter, and whether the chapter will include its views about the detention of children in Dungavel House immigration removal centre in relation to the UNCRC.

S2W-2059 Δ John Farquhar Munro: To ask the Scottish Executive what the outcome is of its review of the location of the headquarters of Forest Enterprise Scotland.

S2W-2060 Margaret Jamieson: To ask the Scottish Executive what plans it has to ensure that all cyclists are required to wear protective headgear.

S2W-2061 Margaret Jamieson: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any plans to amend the national non-domestic rates income pool to ensure it meets the full cost of any discretionary award to a rural post office.

S2W-2062 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive how many applications have been made under the £2.5 million fund of the European Union LIFE Nature programme and the match funding made available by the Executive for the conservation of capercaillie, detailing (a) the name of the applicant, (b) the purpose of each application, (c) whether the application was successful and (d) the amount (i) sought and (ii) awarded; what the benefit of each successful application will be to capercaillie conservation and how this benefit will be monitored.

S2W-2063 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will place in the Scottish Parliament Information Centre any evidence which suggests, or proves, that capercaillie are killed by flying into deer fences.

S2W-2064 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will assess the effectiveness of the measures to conserve the capercaillie and who will be responsible for such an assessment.

S2W-2065 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will ensure that any audit of measures to conserve the capercaillie are carried out independently.

S2W-2066 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive how many capercaillie have there been in each year since records began.

S2W-2067 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive what measures it is taking to prevent the predation of capercaillie by pine martins and whether it will consider introducing legislation to allow for the control of pine martins under license in areas where capercaillie are present.

S2W-2068 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has made any representations to the Swedish Government regarding the numbers of capercaillie in Sweden and the measures that the Swedish Government employs to protect capercaillie, and whether the Executive has made any representations on these issues to the European Commission.

S2W-2069 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has made any representations to the European Commission on its responsibilities under the EU LIFE programme to control the predation of capercaillie.

S2W-2070 Mr Kenny MacAskill: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-1058 by Tavish Scott on 28 July 2003, whether it has sought, or will seek, membership at full, association, or other level of the Nordic Council of Ministers and what the reasons are for its position on the matter.

S2W-2071 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S2W-679 by Cathy Jamieson on 17 June 2003, whether it has made representations to the Ministry of Defence regarding the extension of Operation Youth Advantage throughout Scotland and whether it will place a copy of any correspondence on this issue in the Scottish Parliament Information Centre.

S2W-2072 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it will make representations to the Ministry of Defence to ensure the continued existence of all six Scottish regiments in view of the social and economic implications of the disbandment of any of these regiments.

S2W-2074 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive what the estimated underspend is for the current financial year; when it first estimates any underspend during the financial year, and whether it will publish any future estimates of any underspend.

S2W-2075 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive what steps it is taking to ensure the continued existence of auxiliary fire services, and what representations it has made to joint fire boards on the issue.

S2W-2076 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to ensure that no auxiliary fire service is terminated without a debate in the Parliament being held on the issue and whether it has any plans to bring forward the proposals previously contained in amendment 59 to section 33 of the Local Government in Scotland Bill, which was defeated in the Stage 3 debate in the Parliament on 8 January 2003.

S2W-2077 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive when a decision will be made on the budget available to mountain rescue teams for (a) 2003-04, (b) 2004-05, and (c) 2005-06; whether funding for mountain rescue teams will be ring-fenced, and whether it will increase funding for police authorities for the purpose of enhancing existing mountain rescue team revenue.

S2W-2078 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has any plans to introduce legislation on household waste recycling, similar to the Household Waste Recycling Bill in England and Wales.

S2W-2079 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to encourage overseas students to study in Scotland.

S2W-2080 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive how many overseas students are currently studying in Scotland.

S2W-2081 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive what proportion of overseas students returned home on completion of their studies in each of the last five years.

S2W-2082 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive how many overseas students extended their stay beyond six months to complete their studies in each of the last five years.

S2W-2083 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive how many overseas students completed their studies at Scottish universities in six months or less in each of the last five years.

S2W-2084 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive what representations it has made to the Home Office regarding the new charges to overseas students seeking to extend their stay in the United Kingdom, which come into force from November 2003.

S2W-2085 Pauline McNeill: To ask the Scottish Executive how will to support overseas students affected by the introduction of new charges from November 2003 for such students seeking an extension of their stay in the United Kingdom.

S2W-2086 Colin Fox: To ask the Scottish Executive how many (a) wards at (i) the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, (ii) Hairmyres Hospital, East Kilbride and (iii) Wishaw General Hospital, and (b) departments in the University of Edinburgh Medical School at Little France, have air conditioning units installed.

S2W-2087 Colin Fox: To ask the Scottish Executive how much it has spent upgrading facilities at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh since the hospital opened.

S2W-2088 Colin Fox: To ask the Scottish Executive what action it is taking to ensure safe and comfortable working conditions at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

S2W-2089 Fergus Ewing: To ask the Scottish Executive whether it has received any representations from Highland Council requesting that the headquarters of Forest Enterprise Scotland be located in Inverness; what procedures it will employ when arriving at a decision on this matter, and what the timetable is for such procedures.
