NOTE OF DECISIONS TAKEN AT THE MEETING OF THE PARLIAMENTARY BUREAU: 4 MARCH 2003 AT 2.30 PM

1. Future Business Programme

It was agreed to recommend to the Parliament a business programme for future business for the week commencing 17 March 2003. (for text of motion see Section F of the Business Bulletin for 5 March 2003)

2. Procedural Motions

It was agreed to recommend to the Parliament that the following Statutory Instruments be approved:

draft Ethical Standards in Public Life etc. Act 2000 (Modification of Enactments) Order 2003;

draft Non-Domestic Rating (Petrol and Filling Stations, Public Houses and Hotels)(Scotland) Order 2003;

draft Civil Legal Aid (Financial Conditions)(Scotland) Regulations 2003;

draft Advice and Assistance (Financial Conditions)(Scotland) Regulations 2003;draft Advice and Assistance (Assistance by Way of Representation)(Scotland) Regulations 2003;

draft Water Undertakings (Rateable Values)(Scotland) Order 2003 .

It was also agreed to recommend to the Parliament that the Justice 1 Committee be designated lead committee to consider the Sheriff Court Fees Amendment Order 2003 and the Justice 2 Committee be designated lead committee to consider the draft Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exclusions and Exceptions)(Scotland) Order 2003.

3. National Galleries of Scotland Bill – Consideration Stage

The Bureau agreed that the National Galleries of Scotland Bill be referred back to the National Galleries of Scotland Bill Committee to take Consideration Stage of the Bill.

4. Date of Next Meeting

It was agreed that the next meeting would be at 2.30 pm on 11 March 2003.
