PE 368, from Mr Robert Brown, and PE 371 from Mr John Calder, on behalf of Banff Academy and other Aberdeenshire parents. Both petitions are concerned with eligibility criteria for free school transport and safety issues.

PE 9 from Mr Ronald Guild on the Roman remains at Cramond. The Committee will be updated on progress by Edinburgh City Council's management group on this matter.

6. Budget 2003/04: The Committee will consider a paper on the Scottish Executive's 2003-04 budget.

7. The Children's Commissioner Bill: The Committee will receive an update on preparatory work on drafting a proposal on a Committee Bill to establish a Commissioner for Children and Young People.
