*S1M-1320 Jackie Baillie: Equality Strategy-That the Parliament welcomes the Scottish Executive's commitment to ensuring that people are treated as equal individuals regardless of, for example, their background, gender, ethnicity, sexuality, any disability, age or religious belief; commends the strategy set out in Working Together for Equality and the Scottish Executive's commitment to address inequality, prejudice and discrimination through an inclusive, participative and mainstreaming approach, and calls upon other organisations to do likewise in working to attain equality of opportunity for all.

*S1M-1319# Shona Robison: Mesothelioma-That the Parliament notes with concern the projection by the Cancer Research Campaign that 250,000 western Europeans could die of the asbestos-related cancer mesothelioma by the year 2035; believes that more research into this condition and possible treatments for it is urgently required, and recognises the plight of victims of mesothelioma who are trying to secure the award of Industrial Injuries Benefit.
