S1W-10379 Shona Robison: To ask the Scottish Executive how much additional funding each local authority would have to devote to the provision of publicly funded nursing home places to provide a place for every person currently on a waiting list for such a place.

S1W-10380 Shona Robison: To ask the Scottish Executive how much additional funding each local authority would have to be devote to the provision of publicly funded nursing home places to provide sufficient places to meet expected demand for such places up to the end of financial year 2000-01 in addition to places for all those currently on a waiting list for such a place.

S1W-10385 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-8789 by Sarah Boyack on 28 September 2000, whether any environmental costs of transporting timber from Kielder through the Southern Borders by road as opposed to rail have been considered as part of the assessment of the value of transporting harvested timber by rail; what the reasons are for the inclusion or otherwise of such consideration in this assessment and whether it would commission a supplementary report to the Scott Wilson study if the price of timber was projected to rise.

S1W-10386 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1O-2328 by Mr Frank McAveety on 28 September 2000, who is being invited to join the group being convened to determine how the central heating initiative will be implemented; what issues the group will consider and what the timetable is for the group’s work.

S1W-10387 Lord James Douglas-Hamilton: To ask the Scottish Executive when funds will be provided for redevelopment and utilisation of the East Side of the National Portrait Gallery.

S1W-10388 Bruce Crawford: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the Minister for Transport and the Environment’s statement on transport expenditure on 28 September 2000, how it will measure whether improvements in bus services, journey times and reliability are being delivered.

S1W-10389 Christine Grahame: To ask the Scottish Executive, further to the answer to question S1W-9838 by Mr Sam Galbraith on 28 September 2000, whether it will make it a duty of the Minister of Children and Education to collect centrally information regarding swimming instruction for primary school pupils.
