1. Genetically Modified Organisms (in private): The Committee will consider a possible approach to taking evidence on the issue of genetically modified organisms.

2. Transport (Scotland) Bill (in private): The Committee will consider possible areas of questioning for witnesses on the Transport (Scotland) Bill.

3. Transport (Scotland) Bill: The Committee will take evidence at Stage 1 on the general principles of the Transport (Scotland) Bill from—

4. Subordinate Legislation: The Committee will consider the following negative instruments—

The Sulphur Content of Liquid Fuels (Scotland) Regulations 2000 (SSI 2000/169)

The Disabled Persons (Badges for Motor Vehicles) (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2000 (SSI 2000/170)

5. Annual Report (in private): The Committee will consider a draft annual Committee report.

6. Concessionary Travel Inquiry (in private): The Committee will consider written evidence received as part of its inquiry into concessionary travel.

1. Annual Report: consideration of draft text for inclusion in Annual Report.

2. Cross-Party Groups: The Committee will consider applications for approval from Cross-Party Groups in the Scottish Parliament on:

3. Referral From Parliamentary Bureau: Consideration of paper on the Reid principles (paper to follow).

4. Models of Investigation: consideration of draft report (It is anticipated that this item may be taken in private).

1. Items to be taken in private: The Convener will move that items 2 and 3 be taken in private.

2. Transport (Scotland) Bill (Stage 1) Report: The Committee will consider a draft report on its consideration of the Bill at Stage 1.

3. Appointment of Adviser: The Committee will consider the appointment of an adviser to assist with its inquiry into the impact of the new economy.

4. Impact of the New Economy – Work Programme: The Committee will consider its work programme for the inquiry.

5. Committee Annual Report: The Committee will consider the content of its annual report to Parliament.

6. Fuel Price Issues: The Committee will consider progress on its investigations on fuel prices.

7. Petitions: The Committee will consider PE199 from Scotland’s Tomatoes Ltd; and PE178 form the British Aggregates Association.

8. Statutory Instrument: The Committee will consider The Education (Student Loans) (Scotland) Regulations 2000 (SSI 2000/200).
